Lakeview & lakeshore

Historically, "Lakeview" referred to the area of the city that is bounded by Lakeshore Drive, Orleans Avenue, City Park Avenue and the Jefferson Parish line. That area encompasses four present day neighborhoods – Lakeview, Lakewood, West End and Navarre.

The area on the "lakeshore" includes Lakeshore/Lake Vista as well as Lake Terrace/Lake Oaks found in Planning District 6.

About neighborhood boundaries:
We've chosen the neighborhood boundaries on this web site to organize and present data. They may not match the boundaries of neighborhood associations, redevelopment corridors, commercial subdivisions, planning efforts, or historic districts. Learn more about how we chose these boundaries...
