Job Opportunities

The Data Center is the most trusted resource for data about greater New Orleans and Southeast Louisiana. Founded in 1997, we are fully independent, and we are experts at bringing data together from multiple sources. In doing so, we are uniquely able to step beyond the limits of analyzing data from just one perspective and take a 360–degree look at issues that matter most to our region from government, business, nonprofit, and community perspectives.

The Data Center is as good at getting data out as it is at putting it together. We assemble information in a way that is easy to understand and to the point. Our reports regularly reach over 100,000 individuals, including neighborhood leaders, members of the media, elected officials, business leaders, and other researchers. In these ways, The Data Center realizes its mission to build prosperous, inclusive, and sustainable communities by making informed decisions possible.

The Data Center’s areas of expertise include disaster recovery, regional economic analysis, workforce development, racial disparity indicators, and coastal population movements. Working for The Data Center is an exciting prospect. Our impact far outweighs the size of our team, and we’re always striving to do more!

Consulting Opportunities

IMPACT Fellowship
We are seeking proposals to establish a roster of qualified consultants to work as executive coaches, data coaches, and/or assist in the delivery of course material for a pilot program designed to help local nonprofits build data capacity in their organizations. The Improving Measures & Practices through Action, Coaching, and Training (IMPACT) Fellowship, will be delivered over a 6-month period starting in January of 2020.

In order to facilitate this Fellowship Program we are looking to retain consulting services in one or more of the following areas:

Consultants interested in working as workshop facilitators and course instructors will be asked to deliver content during individual class sessions which focus on data analysis, evaluation research, and process improvement. Consultants interested in working as coaches will be working one-on-one with an organization’s executive leadership, board member, or data analyst as they implement new practices and conduct new analysis.
